Two hundred fishermen took to Lake Ontario on Tuesday for a fishing competition to benefit the Red Cross.
It's the 17th year of "Casting for Caring." 24 boats went out in the morning, and 24 in the afternoon.
All the money raised goes towards helping all the different programs run by the Red Cross. They raised $40,000.
"Instead of the normal fundraisers like golfing or dinners, this gives us a chance to get some people and some customers out on the lake, enjoy a great day and catch a lot of fish," said John Pitton, the market president of Bank of America.
The grand prize of $1,000 went to the charter boat of Dazie, Kaplan, Chapman & Braverman. The winning fish was a 15 pound, 8 ounce lake trout.
