This week we're talking about the importance of posture. Its very important when snowboarding to keep your center of balance, your center of gravity is everything. Just like with any other sport, you want to keep an athletic stance, keep your knees bent a shoulder width apart, keep your head up...you don't want to look at that snowboard. Also, make sure your back is straight. From there you want to lift up on your toes just a little bit then - ride down...that will bring you to a nice stop and flat on the hill. Almost every beginning snowboarder fails when they lean back on the snowboard which takes the pressure off the foot and you lose control of the snowboard - control of the snowboard is all about pressure.
