Bills Take Pass Rushing End Maybin With First Pick

By: Thad Brown
Updated: April 25, 2009
The Bills took pass rushing defensive end Aaron Maybin with their first pick of the 2009 NFL Draft, the 11th overall selection. Maybin had one excellent year at Penn State, with 12 sacks and 20 tackles for a loss in 2008. Hes a pure pass-rusher with excellent quickness that could give the Bills dangerous bookends on the defensive line once Aaron Schobel returns. On the down side, Maybin is not big at 6-3 plus and 249 pounds. His 40-time is just under 4.8 which is also not spectacular. The Bills will pick again in the first round at number 28 overall.
