Bills announce pre-season schedule

ORCHARD PARK, NY – The Buffalo Bills today announced their 2009 NFL Preseason schedule. The Bills will open the preseason schedule in the Hall of Fame Game against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, August 9 in Canton, Ohio. The game will be televised nationally by NBC at 8:00 PM. It is the 13th preseason meeting between the Bills and Titans. The Bills will host the Chicago Bears in the first week of preseason play. The specific date and time will be announced at a later date. This is the 14th meeting with Chicago in the preseason. The Bills last played the Bears in the preseason in 2005 and last hosted Chicago in 1997. Buffalo travels to Green Bay to face the Packers in the second week of preseason play. The specific date and time will be announced at a later date. It is the 13th meeting with Green Bay in the preseason. The teams last met in the preseason in 2005. Buffalo stays on the road in the third week of preseason play to meet the Steelers in Pittsburgh. The specific date and time will be announced at a later date. It is Buffalo’s eighth meeting with the Steelers in the preseason and second year in a row. It is the Bills first trip to Pittsburgh in the preseason since 2001. The Bills will host the Detroit Lions in the fourth week of the preseason play. The specific date and time will be announced at a later date. This is the 29th meeting in the preseason for the Bills and Lions.
