Orange Finally Fall Against Louisville

Big East Conference regular-season champion #5 Louisville (28-5) added the league tournament title to its resume, defeating #20 Syracuse (26-9), 76-66, on March 14 in Madison Square Garden. Jonny Flynn scored 11 points, but still earned tournament MVP honors even though Syracuse did not win the conference title. Eric Devendorf scored 20. Five Louisville players finished in double figures. The Orange led by eight at the half, but Louisville scored 28 of the first 37 points in the second half to take an 11-point lead. Syracuse never got closer than seven the rest of the way.
