Matt Phillips scored 21, John Housel had 17 and Matt McBride chipped in 15 points as Avon held off Harley-Allendale-Columbia 73-61 in the Class C State Qualifier Tuesday night at RIT. Matt Sahasrabudhe led the Wolves with 20 points and Jesse Sharp made five threes on his way to a 17-point performance in a losing effort. Avon will play in the State Quarterfinals Saturday at SUNY Brockport against the Class C champ from Buffalo. Tip will be at 2pm.
