It's like a video game in that it takes accuracy and focus. But, this game gets physical.

Laser Quest’s General Manager Linda Morgan says “It's a high-tech version of tag and hide and seek. Everyone plays under an alias:  something fun Wonder Woman, 007.”

Laser tags centers like Laser Quest in Greece are increasingly becoming an activity which even area schools are recognizing for its fitness benefits.

"We've had a couple of local high schools that have benefited from Laser Quest. They've come down here, run their alternative gym classes here. It creates excitement, gives the kids that competitive sort of edge," says Morgan.

The sport is set up in a controlled facility. Even though you get physical in the activity, there are rules to keep players safe.

"There's no running, no physical contact; it's a lot of fun,” explains Morgan.  “Families can play together. It's age neutral, it's gender neutral."

It's a 20 minute workout which works up a sweat.

Morgan says, "It's mildly aerobic, it's exciting, it's heart-pumping, there's music in there. The atmosphere around you, it's really like a different world."

A game costs 8 dollars a person. They encourage people as young as five years old and as old as 85 to play.
