Getting two points out of two games in faraway Winnipeg would have been more than satisfactory.
Apparently, it wasnt enough for the new-look Amerks.
Stephan Meyer scored with five seconds left in the third period to force overtime tied at two. After a scoreless OT, the Amerks came back from 2-0 down in the shootout, answered again when scored on in the sudden death portion of shootout and finally won in the tenth round on a goal by Karl Stewart. The final was 4-3 in shootout and 3-2 for the game for Rochesters second win in a row Saturday night.
Cory Murphy scored his first career AHL goal to even the score at one early in the third period. The Moose answered with a power play score before Meyer got the Amerk comeback rolling.
Rochester is next on the ice Friday night at home against Syracuse. Faceoff is 7:35pm.
