News 8 Now shines the Scholastic Arts Spotlight on Michael Haller, a senior at Aquinas Institute. If ever someone was destined to play the leading man, it's Michael. He recently played the baker in the school production of "Into the Woods," and before that, he performed Hamlet. It's an incredible turn for someone whose schedule also includes varsity soccer, top-notch academics. His teachers say his work ethic is impeccable, and he sets an extraordinary example for his peers.
Michael says he'd like to be a working actor, and is grateful for the support and encouragement he's received not only from his teachers at Aquinas, but the professional actors at Geva Theatre Center in Rochester, who taught Michael in the Geva Summer Academy Program last year. Next fall, Michael will attend Ithaca College to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Acting. Congratulations Michael Haller, a rising star who feels at home, on stage!
