In the fall production of the play, "Noises Off," Chris isn't just playing the role of director, he *is* the director. Act One is his responsibility. It's a senior project, tailor made for someone like Chris.

"When I'm given this unique opportunity to sit back and sort of watch the production as a whole instead of just seeing things from the actor's point of view, it's great," says Chris.
"It's amazing to see what people discover and what they can do on stage when you're not up there with them."

Cast member Ben Swiatek says, "You can still feel connected to Chris as a peer but it doesn't feel strange to take orders from him or accept suggestions from him or anything like that."

Chris is in Webster Schroeder's Show Choir, Vocal Ensemble, and Improv Comedy Team. He's a star on the speech and debate team. And his talent is attracting attention. Last summer, he was selected to attend the New York State Summer School of the Arts in New York City.

"I hope someday he will be able to go to New York City and get to perform on stage and maybe even win a Tony," says drama teacher Joanne Hofstetter. "Does Chris have the potential for that? I think so."

"That's what I dream to do," says Chris. "I would love to be a working actor, a professional actor, but I will always be an artist."

The bright lights of Broadway beckon, and Chris is already answering the call!
