RIT Student Sustains Life Threatening Head Injury

An RIT student is in guarded condition after sustaining a life threatening head injury early Saturday morning.

According to police, at 12:15 a.m. 20-year-old Daniel Pise of Clifton, NJ was driving his car on 16 Andrews Memorial Drive in Henrietta. His friend, 22-year-old Steven Sapp, of Newark, NY jumped onto the moving vehicle. Pise continued to drive another 25-feet and started to turn causing Sapp to fall off the car.

Sapp was transported to Strong Hospital.

Police say Pise was not intoxicated and no tickets have been issued at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
