New Golden Lion Tamarin At Zoo

The Seneca Park Zoo made a special announcement Sunday, introducing the newest member of the zoo family.

The baby is a golden lion tamarin. They get their name because of the mane of hair around their faces. The proud mom, Maya, gave birth a week ago. This was the first child for Ouro and Maya. The golden lion tamarin is an endangered species and there are roughly 1,000 left. Both mom and baby are doing fine.
