The people who rescued a Chili family from their burning home are being hailed as heroes.

The town of Chili honored the first responders and a postal worker who saved four members of the Ogg family. Postal worker Barbara Langdon spotted the fire, and first responders pulled the family from the burning home on January 24th. The father of the family, who was not home at the time, says he can never than them enough.

"These guys are great, everyday they risk...I go to work and type on a keyboard, they go to work and my family is here today because of the people in that room," Joe Ogg said.

"It's something that you do. You go from zero to 100. I went from sitting on my couch to driving down the street and next thing you know...we have four members of the town that are still alive," North Chili battalion chief Charles Keiser said.

Katelyn Ogg, 25, and her seven-month-old daughter Mara are still recovering. They are both in satisfactory condition at Strong Hospital.
