In a report released by the Federal Aviation Administration, Rochester could lose its midnight shift. The FAA says that shift is typically between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. It could affect airline schedules. An FAA spokesperson tells us that planes can still land according to non-tower protocol, but it is up to individual carriers to determine if that is something they want to do. The FAA says it will accept comments from airport officials until mid-March and release a finalized list after that.
