Jason Anderson scored the go-ahead field goal with just over a minute remaining, and Luke Ruddy contributed 15 points and 17 rebounds as Mynderse topped Lyons 47-43 in the Class C state qualifier at Blue Cross Arena.

Lyons led by two with two minutes to go, but struggled down the stretch to get defensive stops and offensive buckets. Tre' Johnson had a chance to tie in the final seconds, but he couldn't get his layup attempt to fall. Johnson finished with 14 points and 13 rebounds after having only 2 points and 4 rebounds in the first half.

Mynderse also got a great performance from Section V Class C tournament MVP Brandon Passalacqua. The point guard finished the game with 16 points and 7 rebounds.

Mynderse will play Silver Creek of Section VI in the state quarterfinals on Saturday, March 10th at 2:45 from Blue Cross Arena.
