Batavia Rolls To Sectional Crown

Jalen Smith had 25 points at (1)Batavia dominated from the start in a 58-41 win over (2)Newark in the Class B1 Sectional Final at Blue Cross Arena Sunday evening.
Justin Washington added 11 points and seven boards for the Blue Devils who led by 10 points after the first quarter and never looked back.
Anthony Lombardi had 13 points to lead the Reds.
Batavia will face (1)Hornell in the Class B state qualifier Wednesday again at Blue Cross Arena. The Red Raiders dispatched (2)Wellsville 56-47 in the Class B2 title game just before Batavia's win.
