Mount Morris Senior Accomplishes Rare Feat

Mount Morris senior Anna Brado will accomplish something that few, if any, high school basketball player in Section V has ever done before. When she steps on the court on Friday in the Class D2 sectional final, it will mark her fourth straight sectional final. What makes her accomplishment even more unique, Mount Morris is the third different school she's attended.

Originally, she attended Nazareth. When that school merged with Aquinas, she chose to take the 45 minute drive to-and-from home to Bishop Kearney. After two years as a Lady King, she decided it would be easier for her and her family to attend school closer to home, leading her to Mount Morris.

Brado knows she is lucky to have such success throughout her high school career, but firmly believes that it takes more than her (a 1,000 point scorer in her own right) to make trips to the sectional championship.

Prescott Rossi has more from Mount Morris.
