The Monroe County legislature will vote on a bill to restrict the ability to carry guns into the Monroe County office building.

Democrats in the county legislature want to only allow law enforcement personnel to carry guns in the building. Currently, anyone with a concealed carry permit, except county employees, can do so. Members of a local gun rights group have promised to challenge the law in court if it passes. Legislators will vote at 6 p.m.
