Just a few days before he steps down, Pope Benedict XVI revised the rules for how his successor is chosen. Cardinals no longer have to wait 15 days after the Pope resigns to begin voting for a new holy father. When the voting does start, Scottish Cardinal Keith O'Brien will not be there. The Vatican confirmed O'Brien resigned last week amid allegations he behaved inappropriately with other priests 30 years ago. O'Brien denies the allegations.
