With 11:09 remaining in the third period, Webster Schroeder freshman Matt Montgomery scored what turned out to be the game-winner for the Warriors as the 6-seed knocked off 3-seed Greece Athena/Odyssey 4-3.

The Thunder controlled play throughout, outshooting the Warriors 39-12, but coulnd't find the back of the net. Schroeder led 1-0 after the first period and were up 2-0 early in the 2nd after a goal from Jeremy Caulkins. Athena/Odyssey scored twice in the second to tie it at 2 thanks to goals from Jared Tam-Grimshaw and Adam Lennox.

Schroeder retook the lead with 9:41 left in the second thanks to Joe Shuler's second goal of the game. Athena/Odyysey tied the game again early in the third via a goal from Marc McNeil. That goal set up Montgomery's game winner later in the third.

With the win, 6-seed Webster Schroeder (8-9-3) will take on 7-seed Penfield in the Class A Semifinals at Monroe Community College on Wednesday night. Greece Athena/Odyssey end their season with a 15-6 record.
