The snow may have stopped Sunday and the sun was even shining, but it was still cold. Some Rochesterian's braved the cold to go freezing for a reason.

The Rochester Polar Plunge was held at Charlotte Beach and just under 2,000 people ran into the cold water to raise money for the New York Special Olympics.

As you can see, some where in swimsuits and some in costumes. Everyone just wanted to be a part of a great cause.

"Actually, it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought. Thought it was going to be a lot colder. It was actually pretty good," says one "plunger" Mike Nersinger.
