Penfield, NY--Staff from Scribner Road Elementary are working at the McDonald's restaurant in Penfield on Thursday night.

They call it "McCare" night, and they'll be at the McDonalds at the intersection of Routes 250 and 441 helping out and raising money.

Students will also be there collecting backpacks and supplies to give to kids at School 33. McDonald's is also donating a portion of the sales to the school.

"Our theme here at Scribner Elementary is kids who care," explained Fifth Grade Teacher Kate McBride. "We think it's really important to do service, and share some of the advantages we have. We're really supporting each other."

This is the fifth year for the event. It runs from 5:00pm until 7:00pm.
