More than 650 athletes and coaches will take part in the Special Olympics in Rochester later this month.

The winter games are one of the three annual state games. The games will be held February 23rd.

Athletes will participate in a variety of sports from ice skating to Nordic Skiing to Hockey.

Special Olmypics not only needs volunteers for the games but also fans.

Cori Piels, an athlete in this year's games says it's a great experience. "I always enjoyed watching ice skating on TV. The skaters were so amazing it made me want to try skating. I like the way they were so graceful and passionate about their moves. They are like angels on ice."

The games kick off with an opening ceremony on February 22nd in Rochester.
