Honeoye Basketball Coaches Resign

It was business as usual Wednesday night for the Honeoye Bulldogs junior
varsity basketball team. They were playing hard for a win, but with a
different coach calling the shots. The district's athletic director is
leading the team, "the board did act on resignations from both the
varsity and the junior varsity basketball coach," explained David Bills,
Superintendent of the Honeoye Central School District.
The action comes after a hazing incident that has rocked Honeoye. Six varsity basketball players have been suspended after allegedly hazing members of the junior varsity team, "when you get into student policy issues and personnel issues that's when I'm going to stop and be very protective of those folks," said Bills when asked about the students misconduct. He went on to say, "sometimes kids make mistakes."
So far some games have been cancelled and the rest of the varsity season is up in the air, "we're still looking at all the information to determine what's going to be the final outcome," said Bills.
Bills would not comment on when a decision about the rest of the season would be made.
