By: Thad Brown
Updated: February 3, 2013
The Rochester Lancers (7-14) held the lead until late in the fourth quarter before falling to the Wichita Wings (7-13) by a score of 14-11. The Lancers had five goals from five different goal scorers, including a 2-point goal from Doug Miller and a 3-point goal from Mauricio Salles.

Pedrinho would get the Lancers on the board first less than two minutes into the game. But, the Wings would hold a 4-2 lead after fifteen minutes of play thanks to goals by Andrew Hoxie and Adrian Gonzalez.

Salles would give the Lancers their second lead of the game with his 3-point goal just over four minutes into the second quarter. Wichita would take an 8-5 lead into the locker room at half time after Hoxie and Miguel Ferrer scored for the home side.

The Lancers would score the only two goals of the third quarter as Evan McNeley set up Brayton Knapp for an easy back post tap in goal and then scored himself. The 9-8 lead after three quarters was the Lancers third, and final, lead of the game.

The Lancers would maintain the 9-8 lead until Kareem Yearwood scored with less than four minutes remaining in the game. Less than a minute later, Hoxie would score his third goal of the game and this one would prove to be the game winner. Alex Moseley would score with Jeremy Ortiz on as the sixth attacker for the Lancers and Miller would close out the scoring to make the final score 14-11 for the Wings.

With five goals by the Lancers this evening Dunkin Donuts will donate five pounds of coffee to Foodlink. So far this season Dunkin Donuts has donated 122 pounds of coffee.

The Lancers will return to action on Friday, February 8th when they visit the Chicago Soul at 8:30 pm at The Sears Centre. The Lancers will return home to Christopher J. Wilmot Field at the Blue Cross Arena on Saturday, February 16th when they host the Syracuse Silver Knights at 1 pm
