In what may go down as the Game of the Year, Webster Schroeder avenged an early-season loss to Fairport, winning 70-69 in double overtime. Both teams now sit at 14-1.

Schroeder found themselves in a hole late in the third quarter when Fairport took a 45-38 lead. The Warriors called upon their junior bigman Emmitt Holt to get them back in the game. Schroeder even led 58-55 with a minute remaining in regulation, but Fairport's Alex Doche drilled a three with 30 seconds remaining, sending the game to overtime tied at 58.

In the first extra session, Fairport found themselves ahead 65-63 with a minute remaining but Schroeder's Gunner Blaise hit a driving layup, and the game went to double OT, tied at 65.

Connor Scott drained a three to put Schroeder up 68-67. Then in the final minute, Holt continued his outstanding performance with a hook shot to make it 69-67, then recorded a block and rebound in the final minute to help seal the win.

Not to be forgotten, Fairport's Eli Jones scored a game-high 24 points as he battled all night long with Holt.

Both teams now sit tied for first-place in the Monroe County Division 1 standings.
