Moorer Found Guilty Of 2011 Homicide

The bench trial of a Rochester man ended with him being found guilty of manslaughter in the death of a city teen back in 2011.

Monroe County Court Judge John DeMarco found Devonte Moorer, 21, guilty of manslaughter in the death of 18-year-old Calvin Reid. Reid was stabbed outside a convenience store on Hudson Avenue. Prosecutors say Reid was stabbed once in the abdomen with a large knife. Surveillance video captured the crime.

Moorer will be sentenced on March 13th. He faces a maximum of 25 years behind bars.
