Kerry Confirmed As Next Secretary Of State

With an overwhelming vote, the Senate has confirmed longtime Massachusetts Senator John Kerry to be the next Secretary of State.

Kerry was approved by a vote 94-3. Kerry will replace Hillary Clinton, who is stepping down after four years. Massachusetts will hold a special election to replace Kerry. Reports say that the governor has chosen his former chief of staff to serve in the interim until the special election is completed.
