Lancers Pitch 1st Half Shutout, Beat Comets

Alan McGreal scored 2:26 into the game and the Lancers were off from there. Miller would score the game's next four goals to give the Lancers an insurmountable 11-0 lead midway through the second quarter. Salles would score his first of the game and then Pedrinho would score a highlight reel goal off a Doug Miller assist to make the score 15-0 Lancers at the halftime break.
Missouri would get on the board in the third quarter when Ramone Palmer pulled one back for the visitors. Salles would score his second of the game to give the Lancers a 17-2 lead heading into the final quarter.
Missouri would score the only three goals of the fourth quarter with Vahid Assadpour, Robert Palmer, and Ryan Junge scoring for the Comets to make the final score 17-8 for the Lancers.
With eight goals by the Lancers this evening Dunkin Donuts will donate eight pounds of coffee to Foodlink. So far this season Dunkin Donuts has donated 112 pounds of coffee.
The Lancers will return to action on Friday, February 1st when they visit the Missouri Comets at 8:35 pm at The Independence Events Center
