The Elizabeth Wende Breast Clinic offered free mammograms to women who don't have health insurance. Women over 40 years old are encouraged to get screened annually.
Doctors say detecting cancer early can often mean saving a life.
"Days like today are important because women that otherwise would not be able to have a mammogram because they don't have the means can come in and get a screening that can be life saving," said Stamatia Destounis, a radiologist at the event.
Mammograms are still the most proven way to detect breast cancer.
