Pentagon To Allow Women In Military Combat

The Pentagon has made a historic change of policy.

The U.S. military is ending its policy of excluding women from combat. It will happen slowly. There will be an assessment period in which each branch of the military will determine what combat jobs will change first. Women have never been able to hold front-line combat in the U.S. military.
