Cierra Dillard scored 25 and Penfield missed a long 3-pointer at the buzzer as Gates-Chili held on to win 70-67 Sunday night in the Remax Classic at Roberts Wesleyan.

Margot Hetzke had 31 points to lead all scorers for the Patriots. Penfield was down five points with less than 30 seconds to play, but Sheila Nesselbush made a three to pull the Patriots within two. Gates made one of two free throws with three seconds left, but Penfield could not get off anything beter than a 30-footer at the buzzer.

Five different Spartans made nine three pointers in the game--most in the first half. Kori Bayne-Walker had 15 points and five assists while Dionna Johnson added 13.
