Lance Armstrong says he began using performance-enhancing drugs in the mid 90s. He made the confession during an exclusive TV interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Armstrong admitted to doping during all seven of his Tour De France victories. But his confession has left many fans disappointed.

"It's very upsetting. Everyone put their all into him and really believed in him," Bike Zone manager Chris Vandusen said.

The cycling community is taking Armstrong's confession hard. Chris Vandusen is the manage of Bike Zone in Greece. An autographed jersey from Armstrong hangs in the shop.

The news is disappointing to people like Chris. He was inspired by Armstrong and his devotion to the Livestrong Foundation.

"As a cancer survivor myself, I really looked up to him for that. hopefully this will kind of just go away and the foundation will continue to do the good work that they are doing," Vandusen said.

Although disappointed, Vandusen was not surprised by Armstrong's confession.

"It's been under speculation for years and years that he was doping. Especially, to ride to that level. You have to be doing something. It confirmed everything that everyone assumed unfortunately,"  he said.

He hopes Armstrong's doping scandal sends a message to other cyclists.

"I think people are going to hopefully look beyond it and get over it. and hopefully cleaning up this sport will attract more people to it legally without performance enhancing drugs," he said.
