The Rochester Genesee Transportation Authority will be installing new fareboxes on its entire fleet of RTS buses.

The new boxes will be added to over 200 buses by mid-February. The boxes allow riders to pay fares with a $1, $5, $10 or $20 bill. Riders will get change in the form of a stored value pass to use on future rides. Current boxes only accept the exact fair amount.
