Staying Motivated in the New Year

Fitness expert Jodi Stern has some tips on how to keep your new exercise routine going.  

-Remember that you feel great after a workout.

-Make that time for you.

-The more you exercise, the more calories you burn, the more you can eat.

-Exercise should be fun. Find something you enjoy.

-Visualize how you're going to look.

-Read a fitness magazine.

-The really fit cover models are motivating. How do they get that body?

-It's fun to read about other people's experiences.

-Success stories are inspirational.

-Make yourself up a reward program.

-Fitting into new clothes.

-You get an adrenaline boost of energy from working out.

-Work off the stress.

-Use exercise as your time for meditation.

-Sign up for an exercise class.

-Put your money toward a trainer.

-Train for a race, triathlon.

-Let your scale be your motivator.

-Reach your goal. Make it attainable, and strive for it.

-Print out some motivational quotes.

-When people notices changes in your body, it feels good to hear.
