Two Arrested In Prostitution Sting in Gates

Two people are under arrest after a police sting in Gates.

Kristi Simonson, 33, and Charod White, 21, are facing several charges including robbery and petit larceny. An undercover Gates police officer arranged to meet Simonson at a hotel through Backpage.com, where he answered her ad for escort services. Once the officer was with Simonson, investigators say White entered the room  and threatened the officer with a knife. They both were arrested and taken into custody.

Simonson and White remain in the Monroe County Jail on bail.
