The more than $60 billion bill was shelved after debated on the fiscal cliff, despite promises of a vote. The bill had already been passed by the Senate. New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and New York Governor Andrew Cuomo both blasted the House Wednesday.
"This is unfortunately the toxic politics of Congress right now. They can't even agree with each other," Christie said.
"If you listened to the speeches, you had Democrats and Republicans getting up saying it was a failure, it was a disgrace. I believe it was a dereliction of duty," Cuomo said.
