The Bills fired head coach Chan Gailey after three disappointing seasons on Monday. All of the assistant coaches were also let go.

The Bills emptied their website's coaching page moments after the announcement was made.

Gailey went 16-32 in his three years, including records of 6-10 each of the last two seasons.

Gailey addressed the media by making a short statement and did not take any questions. He held back tears expressing his thanks to the Bills for the opportunity and to the fans for their support.

"I understand this is a business. We didn't get the job done," Gailey said. "I've been called two other times to turn things around, was able to do it. I wasn't able to get this one done soon enough, and I understand that completely."

"This will probably be, and I say probably, but I think it will be the first place that's ever fired me that I'll pull for."

Kyle Williams was the only Bills player in the locker room left when the news of Gailey's dismissal was revealed. His comments are consistent with what every Bill has ever said about their now former head coach.

"I think everybody in here has a tremendous amount of respect for Chan," Williams said. "I've been lucky in the sense that the two guys I've had as head coaches (Gailey and Dick Jauron) are really, really solid men. Their yes is yes, their no is no. Obviously, we haven't won enough which is what it's all about."

Now, the Bills will begin their 5th coaching search since the turn of the century. Williams was asked if he was tired of the Bills constantly making changes.

He answered, "I'm tired of losing."
