There's been a lot of support for the West Webster Fire Department.

"They are a true brotherhood and we want to help them," said Aileen Brogan Schultz.

The community is once again stepping up after Monday's tragedy. Individuals and businesses are donating hotel rooms to visiting fire departments this weekend. That's when the two fallen firefighters will be laid to rest.

"We really appreciate what they do. The way they put their lives at risk to try to save our homes and our businesses and with all these firefighters coming from all over the state to honor these poor guys, we want to help them out so they don't have to pay for it out of their pocket," said David Brogan.

The Facebook page, "Prayers and Support for Webster Firefighters," is spreading the word. Businesses are taking part in Facebook corporate challenges and donating blocks of hotel rooms.

David Brogan is part of the family business Alouette Tool Company in Fairport. They donated five rooms for two nights at the Hampton Inn in Webster. The company has a soft spot for first responders. Back in April, their place was destroyed in a fire.

"On April 2 this year, the building that we were in across the parking lot burnt to the ground. We lost everything. They tried really hard to save it, but we lost everything. We had to rebuild the whole business in a short time," said David Brogan.

Months later, the Brogans will never forget what first responders did for them.

"I can't express my appreciation. Especially, first responders. They are the bravest," said Aileen Brogan Schultz.

"It's easy to take for granted your police and fire protection until you actually see them in action and sadly and tragically these men died in service to the Webster community," said Kevin Brogan.

If you would like to donate a room for a visiting firefighter, all you have to do is contact a local Webster or Rochester hotel, make the arrangements and the Facebook page will recognize your gift.
