A fire at a high-rise on Lake Avenue forced some residents to evacuate late Tuesday night. The fire started just before 11:30 p.m.

When firefighters arrived, they found heavy smoke coming from the 13th floor of the high-rise. The fire originated in an apartment on the 12th floor. Firefighters found a man in the hallway just outside that apartment and evacuated him out. The man was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation and burns.

Most of the residents were allowed back into their apartments. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
