Tips on Preventing Burglaries

The Lyell-Otis Neighborhood Association wants you to be fully protected against possible burglaries.
It said burglaries can happen at anytime and that most burglars are clever.
The association has provided helpful tips to protect your home.
The tips include not leaving ladders lying around the house, or leaving boxes to expensive items by the side of the road.
Also it suggests not keeping a mirror in your entry way saying burglars can use to see if you have a security system and if it's disabled.

You're also advised to watch what you post on social media. Burglars can see by your posts that you're not home.
Other tips included maintaining your lawn, keeping deadbolts on your doors to the outside and keeping all your valuables in an easy-to-carry safe.
