Irondequoit Announces New Centralized Library

Plans are going forward to build a new centralized library in the town of Irondequoit.
For the past 50 years, the Irondequoit library has been split into two separate branches in two different locations. The new library will be consolidated into one 60,000 square foot building in the town square. It will include technological enhancements like open Wi-Fi, computer labs, as well as meeting space for various community groups.
The town plans to ask for bonds to fund the project. That will be voted on in the spring.
