To make sure some Rochester kids have a happy holiday, Rochester Police took them shopping.

This was the first "Shop With A Cop" event. The Rochester Police Activities League (PAL) recruited 25 officers to take city children ages 6 to 14 to Eastview Mall.

"It's awesome. It lets them know that we are people, " Sergeant Justin Collins said.

Each child rode to the mall in a police car and then they received a PAL gift card to use on anything they wanted.
