Governor Andrew Cuomo has announced that there will be no toll increase for commercial vehicles on the New York State Thruway.
The executive director of the Thruway Authority proposed a 45 percent toll increase last spring. The proposal faced tough criticism across the political spectrum, including some from the governor. It was said Monday that there will be no toll increase this year or in the next few years.
