Rochester Family Mission Packs Food Boxes for Families in Need

By: WROC-TV
Updated: December 15, 2012
Volunteers spent their morning packing up food boxes for those in need this holiday season.

Rochester family mission, with the help of food link, packed boxes with everything a family would need for a nice holiday meal.

Their goal was to provide food for 700 families, something that hasn't been done for two decades.

"It will break your heart on Tuesday to see these families coming... this is giving them a meal basically for Christmas or even more than just Christmas day so this is a blessing for a lot of people," says volunteer Duane Cook.

Families who have registered for these boxes can pick them up Tuesday morning from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
