Sales Picking Up For Holiday Shopping

Are you spending more this holiday season? The New York Retail Council says 57 percent of shoppers are.

The retail council has released its mid-season shopping survey. About 57 percent of retail members reported the same or increased sales over this time last year. The "Holiday Sales Watch" reflected a post-Black Friday lag with the expectation sales will pick back up during the weekend before Christmas. Hot sellers for boys inlcude Legos, video games and Hot Wheels. For girls it is Barbie, dolls and the Furby.
