Abandoned Dog Found Badly Injured

Investigators at the Humane Society are trying to find out who is responsible for a badly injured dog found locked in a crate in the city.
Officials at Lollypop Farm say an adult female pit bull was found near train tracks at the intersection of Sliver Street and Madison Street. They say the dog has several lacerations and wounds to the face, leg and ear. They say the injuries are consistent with the dog having been in a fight.
Anyone with information on this animal is asked to call the Humane Society at 223-6500.
