Two RPD Officers Struck By Car

Two Rochester Police officers are recovering after they were hit by a car while arresting a man last night.

It happened around 9 p.m. near the corner of St. Paul Street and Norton Street. Officers were responding to a call for reported drug activity at a house. Police say a number of people ran from the house when they got there. Two officers were arresting a man in the street when all three were hit by a car. The suspect was taken to Rochester General Hospital where he was treated and released. The two officers were taken to Highland Hospital with minor injuries. Police are looking into whether the driver will be ticketed.
