People are picking up stockings and decorating them and filling them with items like toothpaste, soap, shampoo, and candy.
The stockings are being returned to the funeral homes and they are being sent overseas in time for Christmas.
"Being a veteran, I was overseas during the holidays and being in the service at that point in time, it was a situation you always missed home no matter where you are and just knowing people back home are supporting you, it's the greatest situation in the world," says Phillip Perotto, the owner of Bartolomeo & Perotto Funeral Home.
A boy scout troop in Greece has played a big role in collecting these stockings. More than 2,000 will be sent overseas.
