Scott Sherin, Vice President of Marketing and Strategy for Alstom, talked about the company's growth Wednesday morning on News 8 at Sunrise.
Sherin said Alstom is adding 70 people to its facility in Rochester, and 30 more at its manufacturing plant in Hornell. He noted the new positions in Rochester will support the company's Positive Train Control and other signaling projects for various customers across the country.
For the last century Alstom has been in the Rochester region. Sherin said the area has a strong affiliation with the rail industry and a deep pool of engineering talent coming out of the local colleges making Rochester a natural fit for expansion.
